Reverend Ebenezer Parkman, of Westborough, MA, writes about the death of Polly Wheelock in his diary as follows:
Oct 17, 1775
"I went up to see Mrs. Clark, one of ye strangers who had lately lain in, her child ill, and to Mrs Wheelocks, her young child of about 20 months being extremely bad, of worms & ....."
Oct 18, 1775
"Hear yt Mrs Wheelocks child dyd about 10 o'clock last night."
