Wheelock (sic) appears in the 1880 C ensus, living in Poland, Chautauqua Co, NY, age 40, oil operator, born in Pennsylvania, parents born in NY (sic), with children Edwin, age 12, Victor, age 10, and Gertie May, age 5.
He is enumerated in the 1850 Census, living in Falls, Wyoming Co, PA, age 32. (Wyoming Co was carved off from Luzerne in 1843.) In the same household is Lucinda Wheelock, age 23, and Frederick Wheelock, age 3.
