Will of Jonathan Wheelock, II

of Cavendish, VT

In the name of God Amen ~ I, Jonathan Wheelock of Cavendish in the county of Windsor and state of Vermont, being weak in body, but sound and perfect mind and memory and blefsed be Almighty God for the same ~ do make and publish this, my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, that is to say. ~ First.~ It is my will that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid out of my property after my decease ~ Second ~ It is my will that my beloved wife Eunice Wheelock, have the use of all my Real Estate. (after paying my just debts and funeral charges,) during her natural life for her own use and benefit, and after paying the Legacies, herein after named. ~ Third. ~ It is my will that my beloved wife have two cows and five sheep for her own use and disposal, and also all my house-hold furniture for her own use, and disposal as she thinks proper. ~ And it is my will that my beloved wife Eunice Wheelock have all the money that may be on hand at my decease, and also, all arrears of my pension if any there should be at my decease for her own use and benefit as she may think proper ~ Fourth. ~ It is my will that my son Jonathan Wheelock. Jr. have ten dollars out of my property in one year after my decease. ~ *^ Sixth. It is my will at the decease of my beloved wife Eunice Wheelock, all the Real Estate, that shall remain not disposed of, shall be equally divided between the following persons ~ Edmond Wheelock, Alba Wheelock, Granvil Wheelock, Orval Wheelock, Norman Wheelock, Lucretia Wheelock, and Lucetta Wheelock, children of Jonathan Wheelock Jr. and Susannah Wheelock his wife, for their own use and benefit. ~ Seventh. ~ I constitute appoint and ordain John Adams of Cavendish, Executer to this my Last Will and Testament. And do hereby utterly disallow, rovoke and make void all and every other former Will, Testament, Legacy, Bequest and Executors, by me in any way before named willed or bequeathed, Certifying and Confirming this and no other, to be my Last Will and Testament

~* Fifth, it is my will that my son Gershum Wheelock have ten dollars out of my property in one year after my decease

In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, at Cavendish, this Eighteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord: one thousand eight hundred and thirty five ~
