I Obadiah Wheelock of Mendon in the County of Worcester in the Province of the Masachusetts Bay in New England yeoman [being advanced in age] and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for men once to die and after that the judgement do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and commend my soul into the hands of God that gave it hoping for pardon and salvation through the merits of Jesus Christ my only Redeemer and my Body I recommend to the earth to be decently buried and as touching my worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and dispose of in the following manner after debts are paid and funeral charges discharged:

My will is that my beloved wife Elizebeth Wheelock have the whole improvements of all my estate both real and personall during her life - and I also give and bequeth unto my said beloved wife all my Household goods for her own to Dispose of as she shall think proper - and it is also my will that after the death of my beloved wife that the whole of my estate both reall and personall shall be equally divided amonst all my children and those that legall represent them (excepting my household goods which I have given to my said wife as above said which I have given to her to dispose of as she shall think proper).

Item: I give and bequeth to my beloved son Obadiah Wheelock all my wareing apparil besides what I have already given him and I do hereby constitute and appoint my two eldest sons viz Obadiah and Samuel Wheelock to be my Executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby Declare this and no other to be my last will and testament revoking and making all former wills and testaments by me made in witness whereof I the said Obadiah Wheelock have herunto sett my hand and seal the second day of June in the twenty sixth year of his Majesties Reign Anno Domini 1753.

Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Obadiah Wheelock (his mark) as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us

Mendon Frebruary ye 4th 1760 Memorandom that I Obadiah Wheelock of Mendon in the County of Worcester can now in a weak and languishing condition expect speedily to depart this life do confirm that above written to be my last will and testament with the following addition

Viz

My will is that the part of my Estate which according to my will above written shall fall to my Daughter Elizabeth Rockwood shall be to her and to her heirs forever

and also

My will is that that part of my Estate which shall according to my will above written fall to my daughter Hannah Underwood shall be to her and to her heirs and assigns forever.

And my will is also that that part of my estate which shall by the [??] rule fall to my daughter Rebekah Fisk shall be to her and her heirs forever.

And that that part of my estate which would have fallen to my daughter Margarett Albee if she had lived to this time shall now go to her survivng children and to their heirs and assigns forever.

And I now add that

My will is that my Negro man servant named Robbin shall live with my wife Elizabeth Wheelock and serve her faithfully for the space of two years after my Decease and then be a free man and that he shall from that time and forever be in bondage to none of my heirs whatsoever and that at the end of said two years my said wife Elizabeth shall give unto him said Negro man two suits of apparel one fitt for him to wear on working days and the other fit for him to wear on Sundays and both suits of apparel to be suitable for one in his [???] and that my said wife find him said Negro food [???] and lodging fit for a servant during said space of two years.

And I do hereby give and bequeth unto him my said Negro man that gun which is called his gun or Robins gun to be his forever and to be delivered to him by the Executors of this my last will as witness my hand a seal the day and date above written.

Note: On 2 Nov 1761, a division of estate was made by Jasper Daniels, Edmond Rawson, and Samuel Warren, appointees of the court. The estate was valued at 206 pounds, 4 shillings, and 8 pence. It was divided into sections of land that were left to the following heirs of Obadiah Wheelock:  Captain Samuel Wheelock, Ebenezer Wheelock, Josiah Wheelock, Elizabeth Rockwood, Hannah Underwood, Rebeccah Fisk, Obadiah Wheelock, Jr., and the heirs of Margarett Albee, deceased.
