In the name of God Amen. This first day of September in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fourteen - I Benjamin Wheelock of Charlton in the County of Worcester & Commonwealth of Massachusetts yeoman being now in the free an full use of my reason but taking into consideration my own Mortality and knowing it is appointed unto all men once to died do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say. -
Principally and first of all I give & recommend my Soul unto the hands of God who gave it & my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent manner nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same agin by the mighty power of God - Astounding such Worldy Interest as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this World, after my just Debts and funeral charges are paid - I give and dispose of the remainder in follower manner & form viz, -
I give to my three SOns viz. Abner, David and Kiron the whole of my Real Estate to be equally divided and in case my Son Kiron should not live to the age of twenty one years, his equal part to be equally divided between the other above said Sons viz. Abner & David.
Item: I give to my Son Salen Seventy five Dollars. -
Item: I give to my Daughter Ruth Morey the one half of my Household Furniture, & the other half I give to my other three Daughters Viz. Fanny Dunbar, Nelly Jones & Charlot Bemis. -
And the residue of my Estate if any should remain after the above Debts and charges are paid. I give to my above said Son Kiron, in case he should live to the age of Twenty one years. -
And I do hereby constitue make and ordain my Son Abner Wheelock second, sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, and hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannull all and every other former Testaments, Wills, bequests and Executors by me in any way before named - notifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. --
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day and year above written. -
Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Benjamin Wheelock as his last Will and Testament in presence of John Wheelock, Willard Morey, Asa Barton.
