Notes:
Per death record, she was Mary Cornelia Baldwin, daughter of Peter McCue and Mary Curtis.1 In the earlier census records she often appears as Mary C. McHugh or Mary McHugh. Later she went by Cornelia.
She might be the Cornelia McHugh, not yet 1 year old, living in Oakfield in 1850 with her parents Peter and Mary McHugh.
In 1860, Mary C. McHugh was living in Oakfield, with her mother, Mary McHugh, whose occupation was washer woman, Peter not in the household. Mary's sister, Margaret (among other siblings) was also in the household. In 1870, Margaret McHugh, was a servant in the household of Linneaus and Charity Calkins, where Albert Baldwin was living at the time.
She married Albert C. Baldwin about 1871, probably in New York.2
In 1920, Cornelia Baldwin was widowed, living in Fairplain, Montcalm County, Michigan, where she had lived with her husband, A. C. Baldwin, for many years. In the 1920's she went to live with her daughter Georgia, wife of William S. Whittlesey, in Lyons, Cook County, Illinois. She died in Illinois in 1934, and was buried with her husband in Fairplain Cemetery, Greenville, Montcalm County, Michigan.3
