- Charles E. Wheelock, born about 1866
- Phillip R. Wheelock, born 20 Apr 1869, Turin, Lewis Co, NY
Notes:
Obadiah Wheelock, age 32, is enumerated in the 1860 Census, in Turin, Lewis Co, NY, living in the household of Alvah Seymour (his father in law), age 68, and Sophronia Seymour, age 57. Also in the household is Celesta Wheelock, age 32, Robbins S Wheelock, age 2, and Lucius H. Wheelock, age 8 months. The final two inhabitants of the household are Eliza Wheelock, age 26, and Delia Wheelock, age 15. These are likely Celestia's sisters; the surname Wheelock is an error on the part of the census taker, who just continued using the Wheelock surname for these final two household inhabitants, when he should have switched to Seymour.
Obadiah Wheelock, doctor, age 46 (sic), is enumerated in the 1870 US Census living in West Turin, Lewis Co, NY, with Celestia, age 43, Robin, age 13, Henry, age 11, Emerson, age 8, Alva, age 6, Charles, age 4, and Philip, age 1.
He is listed in Windom, Mower, MN in the 1875 Minnesota State Census, born 1828 in NY, with C. S. Wheelock (his wife), and 5 children.
An Obadiah Wheelock, farmer and physician, born 1828 in New York, is enumerated in the 1880 US Census living in Rose Creek, Mower, MN. In the same household is his wife, Celesta S. Wheelock, age 52, Robin S. Wheelock, age 22, Henry L. Wheelock, age 20, Emerson W. Wheelock, age 19, Alva Wheelock, age 16, Charles E. Wheelock, age 14, and Philip Wheelock, age 11.
He appears in the 1900 Census back in Turin, Lewis Co, NY, living in the household of his sister in law, Eliza A. Seymour, with his wife, Celestia, age 71. Obadiah's birth is given as July 1828, NY.
The "History of Mower County, Minnesota: Illustrated", editted by Franklyn Curtiss-Wedge, Chicago, H. C. Cooper, Jr. & Co, 1911, accessed at books.google.com Jan 2016, has the following to say about Obadiah (pg 960):
"Obadiah Wheelock, M.D., an early physician of Rose Creek, was born in New Haven, Oswego county, New York, July 20, 1828. He received a good education, taught school, studied medicine, and in 1863 graduated from the Metropolitan Medical College in New York city. After practicing in New York state for a while, he came to Mower county and settled in the northwest quarter of section 35, Windom township. This land had been in his possession some fourteen years, but was without improvements when he arrived. He was married in 1856 to Celesta S. Seymour, who was born at Turin, Lewis county, New York, in December 1827. Six children were born: Robin S., Henry L., Emerson W., Alva S., Charles E., and Philip."

Death: 22 Mar 1841

- Headstone record, Washington Cemetery, Keene, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, USA; documented at FindAGrave.com, memorial number 107183358, created 23 Mar 2013.
Father: Stephen Wheelock
Mother: Lucretia Newton
Notes:
This may be the same Tabitha Wheelock that married Israel Marsh in Keene, NH, 11 May 1812. The clues are:
1) The Keene Vital Records record the birth date of Tabitha Wheelock (m. Israel Marsh) as 21 Sep 1788, exactly one year from the date given in the Hubbardston VR, suggesting one of the dates is in error by 1 year. The Keene VRs, however, give her birth place as Eden, VT.
2) Tabitha's brother, Walter Wheelock, was an early settler of Eden, VT (see notes for Walter), and her father may also have lived there for a time; possibly explaining the Eden reference in her Keene birth record.
3) Tabitha and Israel Marsh had a daughter named Lucretia, possibly after Tabitha's mother, Lucretia Newton.
