Notes:

After the death of her first husband, Ruth was appointed guardian of their two children, Louisa Maria Sibley and Freeland Converse Sibley, 6 Feb 1849.¹

In 1850 Ruth was living with her mother and two children in Spencer. She married her second cousin, Aaron B. Wheelock 17 Nov 1851. In 1855, the two were living in Spencer with the two children from Ruth's first marriage, and the two from her marriage to Aaron.

She died of an embolism in Spencer on 4 Oct 1894.²

He is enumerated in the 1875 NY State Census living in Poland, age 60, with wife Mary Wheelock, age 34, son Warren Wheelock, age 20, daughter Kittie Wheelock, age 4, and adoped son Samuel Bemus, age 3.

He's in the 1892 NY State Census, age 76, living with Mary Wheelock, age 50(?) in Bolivar, Allegany Co, NY.

He is not found in any further census records.
