Notes:

Mary Brown was the daughter of Alpheus Brown and Martha Rawson (per Rawson Genealogy).

In 1850 she was living in Uxbridge, with her parents. Daniel Wheelock not present in 1850, or any subsequent census records.

In 1855 she was again in Uxbridge, age 45, living with her mother, Martha Brown, age 69, and Deborah Brown, her sister, age 39.

In 1860 she was living with her brother, Ephraim Brown, and his family.

In 1865 she was living in Uxbridge, age 53, married, nurse, living with her brother Willis Brown, age 55, Sally Brown, age 46, Josiah Wood, age 59, Ebenezer Klimpton, age 61, and Deborah Brown, age 47.

She died in Uxbridge on the 10th of August 1867. Her death records lists her as "married."

Daniel Wheelock's ancestry is not known. He supposedly fathered a child, George Wheelock (per Rawson Genealogy). He is not found in the 1840 Census. His wife, Mary (Brown) Wheelock is living with members of her family, without Daniel, in 1850 and 1860. So Daniel either expired by 1850, or disappeared from the scene.

Edward Bass Wheelock is identified as the son of James Ripley Wheelock and Fidelia Bass in the DAR lineage entry for Mrs. Laura L. Steel-Nicholson, daughter of Edward Bass Wheelock and Mary Louisa Clack.¹

He was a private in Company D, Confederate Guards Regiment, Louisiana Militia during the Civil War.

He was the second 'Rex' of Mardi Gras, 1873.
