Daniel is the son of Daniel Baldwin.
Barlow was from Wardsboro, Vt., according to "The History of the Town of Shrewsbury, 1717 to 1829", by Ward.
A fight occured on May 8, 1926 between Harvey Ransom, Sr and his stepfather, Elton Reynolds after Harvey went to his mother's house, drunk. Mr. Reynolds hit his stepson, Harvey, in the head with the butt of a shotgun and killed his stepson. Mr. Reynolds was exonerated by a coroner's jury. The following is from the Record Eagle newspaper, May 19, 1926:
"That the said Harvey Ransom came to his death on May 17, 1926, as the result of a blow struck by Elden Reynolds, with the barrel of a shotgun on the right side of the head, causing a fracture of the skull; and that the said elden Reynolds under all the facts and circumstances as developed by the testimony in the case, and from the fact that he was assaulted in his own dwelling house by the said Harvey Ransom, he was justified in using the force he did, for his own protection and that of his family and his household."

There is a Jesse Comort Wheelock buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Woonsocket, RI, which may be the same Jesse C. Wheelock; but the dates on the headstone differ from those given by Walter T. Wheelock, in "The Wheelock Family in America, 1637-1969", 1969. The parents of Jesse Comfort Wheelock and some of her siblings are also buried here, so it seems likely the headstone records are more accurate. W. T. Wheelock gives dates: b. 11 Apr 1859, d. 7 Mar 1935. Headstone says 1858 - 7 Mar 1904.
