The source letter from Albert Wheelock, William Harrison Wheelock's grandson, states that William was operating a ranch in Marion, Kansas, when he married Lida (Linda, Lidia - the handwriting is unclear). Lida was a 25 year old widow at the time (circa 1886). The letter does not explicitly state that they were married in Marion, but it is clear that she owned a hotel in Marion. Sometimes the letter uses Timmer as her last name. Of the two last names (Coen, Timmer), one is probably her maiden name, the other that of her first husband.
