He is buried with his wife in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Research Notes:

He is enumerated in the 1850 census living in Marshfield, Vermont, age 23, born Vermont, pedler, in the household of Asa Spencer, age 38, and Jane Spencer, age 42. Asa was his aunt's (Eunice Cutting) husband's (Robert Spencer) nephew.

Hiram G. Cutting is identified as the son of Hiram Cutting of Sardinia, New York, in Erie County New York deed book 165, page 203, dated 21 Feb 1854, in which he and his brother, Carlos L. Cutting, purchased the land holdings of their late father from his widow. Shortly thereafter, Hiram G. Cutting sold his share of those holdings to Carlos L. Cutting (Erie County deed bk 165, pg. 210). In that deed of sale his residence was identifed as Brookline, Massachusetts, and his wife was Susan G. Cutting.

His death notice in the 8 Apr 1897 edition of the Boston Journal indicates that he died in Randolph, Vermont, age 69 years, 11 months, and that the funeral would be held at his late residence - 26 Magnolia St, Dorchester, Massachusetts.
