Summers Ford was enumerated in the 1920 census, age 13, born Texas, living in Altus, Jackson Co, Oklahoma, with his parents, William Ford, 47, born Kentucky, and Azzie Ford, 42, born Tennessee. Also in the household were his siblings: Cecil, 22, Joe Bill, 20, Berniece, 17, and Raymond, 15.

He divorced Phyllis Wheelock sometime after 22 Oct 1937, when the divorce was filed.¹

He married Kathryne Kinder, sometime before 1940, when the two are enumerated in the census as husband and wife living in Waurika, Jefferson Co, OK. She died in Prescott, Arizona, 18 June 1956, per Arizona death certifiate.²

The WW II enlistment record for Summers P. Ford, dated 20 Apr 1942, states that he was a resident of Oklahoma City, born 1906, was married (no spouse named).³

Summer P. Ford died 2 July 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas. He had been living with his brother, Pete Ford, since his wife died in June 1956 in Prescott, Arizona. He was a used car salesman, and a native of Oklahoma. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Annita Jackson of Oakland, California; two other brothers (besides Pete): E. L Ford of Fort Worth, and Cecil Ford of Long Beach, California; and a sister, Mrs. Lavona McCord of Los Angeles.⁴
