Notes:
Ensley Township was named after Benjamin Ensley, who was an early settler, arriving there in 1854.1
In 1870 he was living in Ensley, age 40, born New Jersey, with his wife, Mary E. Ensley, age 35, born Michigan, and children: Marie E., 14, William B, 12, Eliza A, 10, Benamin F, 8, Nettie, 2, and Laurana, 11 months. His wife, Mary, died in 1873, and in 1875 he married Lucinda Witham. In 1880, he was 50, born New Jersey, living with his wife, Lucinda, 28, born Michigan, and two children from his first marriage, William, 22, and Nettie, 12; and two children from his second marriage, Frederick Ensley, 3, and John Ensley, 1.
Per death record, his father was Benjamin Ensley, born New Jersey.2 Online genealogies disagree, some stating his father was John Ensley or Jacob Ensley.

Notes:
She was probably the Lucinda (Witham) Ensley that married Adelbert Livingston 15 Apr 1893. At the time she was 38 years old, born in Port Huron, Michigan, daughter of J. B. Witham.1
In 1910 she was living in Ward 6, Sacramento, California, 57, born Michigan, with her husband, Albert Livingston, and daughter Grace Ensley, 25.
Her husband, Adelbert Livingston, died about 1 Oct 1916 in El Dorado County, California. Lucinda E. Livingston was identified as his surviving wife in the probate records, also residing in El Dorado County. Lucinda was alive on 8 Dec 1917, when she received an inheritance of $24.77 from the estate of her deceased husband.2
