The earliest known record of Mary's birth date reads: "1st:2d mo:1660",¹ or 1 April 1660 on the modern calendar. This was well before Joseph and Exercise married, even before Joseph and Mary were married. Most genealogies assume that the 1660 should have been 1666 - perhaps sloppy handwriting, or a mistranscription.²

She must have died young, because Joseph and Exercise had another daughter named Mary on 27 March 1671.
