Notes:

In the mid to late 1790's, Rosanna's father, John Smiley, and her uncles, John and Jedediah Stanley, purchased land and settled in Augusta, Oneida Co, NY, where they lived for several years. It is likely that Rosanna Smiley and Reu Wheelock were married in Augusta. After five years or so in Augusta, Rosanna's parents and her brother, Jonathan, moved to Jefferson County, NY.

In 1840, Rosanna Waldron, age 50 to 59, was living in Pittsfield, Washtenaw County, Michigan, with a male 15 to 19, and a female 20 to 29. She was widowed by that date, explaining the absence of an older man in the household. In 1850 she was probably the Lovina Waldron, 67, born New Hampshire, living with James L. and Irena Wheelock in Pittsfield. In 1860, Rosana Waldren, was 77, born New Hamsphire, again living with James L. and Irena J. Wheelock in Pittsfield. In 1870 she was 86, living again with James L. and Irene J. Wheelock in Pittsfield.

Her headstone indicates age 91 at death, implying a birth date of 1782 or 1783. An original record for her birth has not been found, but the 6 June 1783 date, found on a Rootsweb page, is consistent with her death record, and her headstone.
