Research Notes for Leah:

The records show two conflicting marriage dates for Donovan and Leah.

The first is in the 1925 return of marriages from the Mecosta County to the Michigan Department of Health, 4 July 1925, one day after the license.¹

The second is in the 1925 return of marriages from Montcalm County to the Michigan secretary of state, 26 Dec 2025, many months after the license.²

The latter is probably in error. It seems to have the marriage dates for two adjacent couples swapped. Also the vast majority of couples married a day or two after they obtained their license.
