The marriage of Elijah Wheelock and Anna Low, 19 Oct 1794, is recorded in Boston. [1] There are other records of Elijah Wheelock in Boston. He was paid six pounds for ringing the Old South Church bell in 1797. [2] A Worcester County deed records the sale by Elijah Wheelock, of Boston, Coach Driver, to Abel Wheelock of Boston, Coach Driver, all right, etc. to the Estate of the late John Wheelock of Lancaster, Deceased, Eastside Lancaster Neck ____ lying both sides of the Nashua River. [3] He is listed in the Boston City Directory, 1800, "chapel sexton", living at 71 Newbury St. He and his brother Abel are listed in the 1805 Boston City Directory; Elijah as a "mariner", living at Frog Lane. The 1810 and 1820 Massachusetts Census show Abel living in Boston, but no mention of Elijah.
The Boston Columbian Centinel, 17 Apr 1805 edition, records the death of Elijah Wheelock, s. of Elijah Wheelock, in Boston. Though not proven, this is presumed to be the son of this Elijah.
The Boston Columbian Centinel, 24 Dec 1808 edition, gives notice of the death of Elijah Wheelock, of Boston, age 37 [sic], on 21 Dec 1808.
