George Barber was a close friend of Ralph Wheelock. He played a principle role in the founding of Medfield, Mass. Among other things, he was granted twenty five acres of land in Medfield by Ralph and other town administrators; in return for which he was to build the first mill in Medfield, to serve the needs of the town.
