After the death of her husband in 1777, Azubah appears to have been aided by her brother, Peter Wheelock, of Calais, VT. He assisted in the care of her children, both of whom came to Calais with him. Azubah owned various parcels of real estate in Calais, but it is not certain whether she ever established permanent residence there.
