"The History of Royalton, VT" has the following to say about Haskell: "Just before his marriage he had formed a partnership with Luther Howe for the purpose of erecting carding and nail machines at Gilbert's mills. He sold his interest to Mr. Howe in Nov. 1810 and removed to Hartford, WI. He became a minister."

The proceedings of the Massachusetts Supreme Court makes reference to a case "Haskell Wheelock vs. Henry A. Pierce" in which James H. Wheelock, born in the US, but a resident of Tahiti, deceased there, is identified as the son of Haskell Wheelock. (Src: "Reports of Cases Argued and Determined by the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts", by Luther S. Cushing, Volume VI, Boston: Little, Brown, and Co, 1862; pg 288; online a books.google.com, Oct 2015). The book "Pioneer History of Milwaukee", by James S. Buck confirms the relationship.

Some unsourced genealogies on the internet identify Charles E. Wheelock (1818 - 1882) as a child in this family. Charles is buried in the same cemetery as Haskell; but primary records confirming that he is a member of this family have yet to be found.

In 1870 Haskell, age 83, is living in the home of his son, Hiram Wheelock, in Hartford, Wisconsin.
