Both a listed adjacent to each other as members of the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, received 1883, Frankie M. Wheelock deceased 11 Oct 1897, and Elisha R. Wheelock dismissed 29 Oct 1901.¹

He was a broker in New York City in the 1880s and 1890s.²

There is a discrepancy between her various records of birth. The 1850, 1870, 1880, and 1910 census all imply that she was born in 1832. The 1900 census gives a birth date of Aug 1831. Her gravestone has an inscribed birth date of 22 Aug 1830, and the birth date calculated from her death certificate is 7 Sep 1830.

She appears twice in the 1850 census. First with her parents in Jackson, Jackson Co, MI, taken 2 Aug 1850, and second with her husband, Truman Cowles, in Johnstown, Barry Co, MI, taken 16 Aug 1850. If the census is accurate, the implication is that she was married between these two dates. If the census is trusted, bounds are established around the marriage date.

Her death certificate identifes her parents as Horace Wheelock and Lydia Roe, both born in New York.
