In 1870 she was living in Pleasant Valley, Jo Daviess County, Illinois, age 31, born New York, with Jesse D. Wilson, 34, farmer, born Ohio, Oscar Wilson, 10, born Illinois, Jennie Wilson, 6, born in Illinois, Mack Wilson, 3 born in Illinois, and Leo Wilson, age 2 months, born in Illinois. The census was enumerated on 9 Sep 1870.

In 1880 she was living in Lincoln, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, age 42, born New York, with Jesse D. Wilson, age 44, farmer, born Ohio, and Osker, 20, Jennie, 16, Mack, 12, Jackson, 10, and Hattie, 4, all surname Wilson, born in Illinois. She is probably the Almina Wilson, age 55, born New York, living in Lewis, Cass County, Iowa in 1885, per Iowa state census.

In 1900 she was living in Cass, Cass County, Iowa, with her daughter, Jennie Pierce, who was widowed, born Mar 1868, and three of Jennie's children: Albert, Wayne, and Fred, all surname Pierce. Serepta Wilson was listed as widowed, born June 1838, New York, having had eight children, five of whom were living in 1900. Also in the household is Leo J. Wilson, brother of Jennie, born June 1873, Illinois and Hattie E. Wilson, sister, born Jan 1877.

In 1920 she was living in Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa, in the household of her son in law, Leroy O. Green, and his wife Harriet, age 38, born Illinois. Serepta was age 78, born New York.

Her obit calls her Mrs. Serapta Wilson, and states that she died 24 May 1923, aged 83 years, at he home of her daughter, Mrs. L. O. Green of Sioux City. She had been a resident of Sioux City for 21 years, and a resident of Iowa for 50 yeras. Survivors include a sister [sic, daughter] Mrs. J. E. Pierce of Sioux City, and a brother [sic, son] M. C. Wilson of Council Bluffs.¹

Her headstone headstone and death record imply a birth date of 1839, in conflict with the 22 June 1840 birth date given in "The Wheelock Family of Calais, VT".
