Timothy may have served in the Revolutionary War. He appears on a roll of those who served from New Ipswitch, NH. There is some confusion as to whether the Timothy that appears on these rolls is this Timothy, or his father. (See notes for Timothy Wheelock, Sr.)

(Source: "The State of New Hampshire, Part I, Rolls and Documents Relating To Soldiers in the Revolutionary War", Vol I of War Rolls, Vol XIV of Series, Compiled and Editted by Isaac W. Hammond, Concord, NH, 1885)

"The History of New Ipswich, NH, 1735-1914", by C. H. Chandler and S. F. Lee, 1914, has the following to say about Timothy:

"He lived for a time in the southeast part of the town, near the Wheeler tavern, and a few of his last years on the corner lot just soutwest from the Congregational church."
