The following death notice was transcribed from a newspaper clipping, found in the effects of Betty (Wheelock) Sullivan, his niece: Marice Wheelock, 85, a retired farmer and barber, died at 7am, Sunday (Dec 5, 1971 in the Tri-County Memorial Hospital, Gowanda. He had been in ill health for several months. Mr. Wheelock operated a barber ship in Collins, NY. He was born in the Town of Villenova, Nov 26, 1886, a son of the late Millard and Persis Lewis Wheelock. Mr. Wheelock was a member of the Gowanda Baptist Church. He is survivied by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday at the Jaquay Funeral Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight: 2 to 4, and 7 to 9pm Tuesday. Burial will be in the Prospect Cemetery, Forestville.
