Benjamin was born in South Orange, MA. He settled in North Brookfield, married, and removed to Wyoming Territory. His genealogy is written in the "History of North Brookfield, MA", by Josiah H. Temple; and appears next to that of Rufus Wheelock, also of North Brookfield, who had a son, Joseph, in South Orange. The Brookfield marriage record for Benjamin and Jane identifies Benjamin's father as Rufus (vol 101, pg 172).
