Abiel died at the very young age of 25. Her headstone, in the Memorial Cemetery, center of Westborough, MA, is barely readable (as of 1998), and lies next to Moses Wheelock and Lydia Bond. Abiel came from a very prominent family in Wrentham. It is very likely that Abiel Haws was the brother of Dr. James Haws, the first doctor in Westboro, also from Wrentham. The Wrentham Vital records confirm that Abiel had a brother named James.
