According to the History of Annapolis County, by W. A. Calnek, Syretha "moved to Roxbury, MA".
The marriage location for Syretha and Nelson is not proven. Though she appears with her parents in the 1850 Federal Census, living in Boston, neither she nor her parents are found in the 1860 Federal Census. It is possible that the entire family moved back to Nova Scotia in the 1850's, and that Syretha was married there, rather than in Massachusetts. The fact that Syretha's brother, Guilford, was married in Nova Scotia in 1861 lends credibility to this theory.
Syretha's parents are enumerated in the 1870 Federal Census, living in Massachusetts again; the family probably moved back to the United States when the ports were reopened after the Civil War. Syretha may have come later. She doesn't appear in the 1870 census, but does show up in Boston in the 1880 census.
