"Charles C. Wheelock, 65, of Route 2, Leroy Township, a resident in this area for 50 years died at 4 a.m. today at the University Hospital, Ann Arbor, after an extended illness. Mr. Wheelock was born April 4, 1892, in Little Rock, Ark. He was married in 1909 to Hazel Thomas and later was divorced. Two daughters from this marriage survive. On March 32, 1945, he married Beatrice Shafer, who also survives. The two daughters are Mrs. Kenneth (Charlotte) Bugbee of Lansing and Mrs. Albert (June) Giberson of Blue Island, Ill. Also surviving are five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Romans and Mrs. Elwin (Blanche) Fuller, both of Marshall; Mrs. Alice Chambers of 43 Anderson Ct. and Frances Wheelock of Detroit and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wheelock was a member of the Redemption Lutheran Church and was employed as a salesman for many years with the Hill Piston Co.

"Friends may call at the Farley Funeral Home. Services Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Redemption Lutheran Church, Rev. E. W. Nuelken officiating. Interment Reese Cemetery."
