Josephine lived with her parents in Villenova up until her father died, in 1878, and beyond. She is still living with her mother in 1880 (in Villenova), according to the census. Her age is given as 33, her occupation - dressmaker. Josephine Blydenburgh doesn't appear in the 1900 Census, but a Josephine Waters appears there, living in Villenova, married to Orson Waters, with children John, Mary, and Hugh. This Josephine is the right age to be Josephine Blydenburgh; her oldest child is 12. It's likely that Josephine Blydenburgh married Orson Waters sometime after 1880. This is supported by a personal memory of Betty (Wheelock) Sullivan, who recalls an an elderly Aunt Josephine, whose last name was Waters. Josephine and Orson lived just a few doors down from Joseph Wheelock, who was still alive in 1900. Josephine was the Aunt of Persis (Lewis) Wheelock, Betty's grandmother. In 1910, Josephine is living in Villenova with her husband, and her son, Hugh. In 1930, she is living with her daughter, Mary, in Buffalo, NY. Josephine Waters died in 1942, and is buried in the Hamlet Cemetery with her husband, Orson Waters, and her son Edward Hugh Waters (who died in 1977, and served in WWII). The plot also contains a memorial to her duaghter, Mary, who is buried elsewhere. Her grave is not far from that of William and Mary Blydenburgh. Her gravestone gives her birth date as 1847, and her death date as 1942.
