Jonathan may have served in the Revolutionary War. Several service records exist for a Jonathan Wheelock, Lancaster; though nothing has been found to tie this Jonathan with any of those records. His children Thankful, Jonathan, Benjamin, Abijah, Peter, and Betsey were all baptized in Lancaster on 17 Nov 1771. His administration of estate is on file in the Worcester County Probate Office, case 63716.
