The Worcester marriage records (Mass Archives, 255:350) show that Andrus married his third wife, Jane E. Pierce, in 1873. Jane, from Hopkinton, had been married once before, and was the daughter of John and Emily Sheffield. There is a marker in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Mendon, MA, where Andrus and his first two wives are buried that reads: "Andrus Wheelock, 1826 - 1888; Andrus Wheelock, son of A. and J. E. Wheelock, 1873-1875".
