Abner Wheelock migrated to Genesee County, New York, where he married, and located for a number of years. About 1830 he removed to Erie County, Pennsylvania and settled on a tract of land three miles north of Corry. He purchased a farm of one hundred acres on Hare Creek, now Wheelock, Wayne township, cleared up the place, and resided there until 1850, when he disposed of the same and removed to Sugar Grove township, Warren County, Pennsylvania. Edwin Wheelock, age 57, is enumerated in the 1880 Census living in Sugar Grove, PA, with his wife, Betsey, age 46, son George, age 20, and father Abner, age 83, who was born in MA. Edwin was born in NY. George R. Wheelock, age 39, son of E. R. Wheelock, age 71, and Betsy A., age 66, is enumerated in the 1900 Census living in Sugar Grove, Warren Co, PA.

Albert is reported to have died of typhoid fever. He is buried at a cemetery near the Fairview School House, 12 miles north of Alva, OK. Albert homesteaded a tract of land 1 mile south and 3 miles west of Hardtner, Kansas. It was here that he built a "dugout" home to raise his family.
