The death notice given by "Death Notices 1819-1899 reported in the Fredonia Censor and a few other sources", compiled by Lois Barris, published 1992 by the Chautauqua County Genealogical Society, reads as follows:
"At the Fredonia res of her son in law, J. J. Parker...born in Hamilton, NY 6 Mar 1815, so nearly 76 yr...came here with late husband Alonzo Wheelock 35 yr. ago. He was pastor ..."
Caroline Dorst lived with her husband, William Harrison Wheelock in East Hamburg, NY. They had eight children (3 boys, 5 girls). Circa 1880 William Harrison Wheelock, Sr. moved (with the 3 boys) to Marion, Kansas, where he established a Ranch. Caroline followed with the daughters, but did not like it, and returned to NY. William Harrison Wheelock remarried, so one can speculate that Caroline and William must have divorced.

John Wheelock apppears in a list of men mustered between August and October 1725, in Lancaster, MA. [1]
The Groton VRs record the marriage of John Wheelock and Martha Wood, "both of Lancaster".
A John Wheelock, of Lancaster, deeded land to "his brother" Jonathan Wheelock in 1741, Joseph Wheelock in 1751, and to Ethan Phillips in 1755. [2]
His brother Jonathan died in 1754. The division of his estate, made 4 Apr 1759 mentions Jonathan's children, and is signed by John Wheelock, "guardian". [3]
John Wheelock's will is on file at the Worcester County Probate Office, case 63708. It was approved 7 July 1778. John Wheelock Junior, son of his late nephew Joseph is appointed executor. Bequests are made to his "dearly beloved wife Martha Wheelock", and provisions are made for Oliver Wheelock, son of his late nephew Joseph, to care for him until his death. A legacy is left to Martha Wheelock, daughter of his deceased nephew, and bequests are made to the the remaining children of his late nephew, identified as "Joseph, Archibald, Abel, Elijah, and Allice Wheelock, children of my said deceased nephew".
Neither the Lancaster Vital Records, nor his will makes any reference to children of John and Martha.
