Levi Wheelock fought in the Revolutionary War, engaged for the town of Tyringham. He marched in response to the Lexington Alarm on 21 April 1775. He is listed as a husbandman, 5 ft, 9 inches, with red hair.
Several members of this family removed to Jefferson County, NY, including Levi Wheelock, Jr, who was an early settler of Antwerp, Artemus, who was living in Orleans in 1850, and possibly William, who may be the William living in Lyme between 1820 and 1840.

Winslow was an administrator of his father's estate in 1841. A Lewis Wheelock, son of W. and L. E. Wheelock, died in Eden, VT, 23 July 1843, and is buried there per Vermont VRs. The 1850 Federal Census shows Edmund, age 8, and Martin, age 4, in this family. His marriage record to Elvira Alexander indicates that he was from Morristown, and that it was his third marriage. He is listed in the 1883-1884 Morristown business directory as a farmer, residing at the same address as his son, Martin.
