Mercy Standish, granddaughter of Miles Standish, was probably born in Duxbury, MA. (Source: "Mayflower Increasings", by Susan E. Roser)
The Windham Centre Cemetery, in Windham CT contains a stone with the following inscription: "This Monument Sacred to the memory of Mrs. Mercy, wife of Deacon Ralph Wheelock ob. Nov. 4th A.D. 1746 Aetat 6[illegible]". (Source: The Windham Ct. Rootsweb genealogy WWW page, 1998.) "Mayflower Increasings" by Susan Roser gives the date as 4 Nov 1748, which is consistent with her husbands will, dated 10 Oct 1748: I leave to "my well beloved wife mercy the whole [] and improvement of my House and Homehold upon both sides of the Highway...and all my Personal Affects..."
