Reuben's will is held by the Worcester Probate Office, case number 63799. In it he leaves bequests to son Luther Wheelock; son Calvin Wheelock; daughter Charlotte Newton; grandson Samuel David Perry; grandson George Newton; son Luke Wheelock; grandchildren (children of Luke) Henry H. Wheelock, Ella Wheelock; grandchildren Ellen Marie [P]Bates, Janette Eliza Perry; and daughter Eunice A. Perry.
Reuben directs in his will to be buried next to his "beloved wife" in the cemetery in East Millbury.
The History of Sutton mentions that Reuben "was once run by the Whigs for representative, but that party being in the minority, he was not elected."
