Clarks headstone is not to be found in the Perry Cemetery in North Orange, MA, where his wife, and parents are buried. According to "Wheelock Genealogy", by Carlyle Capron Wheelock and Winifred (Thomson) Gonseth, Clark's widow, Nancy Perry, married his brother, Josiah Wheelock.
According to a death notice in the 18 May 1855 edition of the New York Post, Clark Wheelock died in Brooklyn, NY, 18 May 1855, age 66. The 5 Oct 1853 edition of the New York Post has a notice for the death of Alexander C. Wheelock, 5 Oct 1853, age 25, son of Clark Wheelock. Hiram Wheelock, born in Charlton, settled early in Sturbridge, Ma, where he remained until his removal to Boston in 1839; removed to Warren in 1843; afterward to Newton, and finally to Boston, where he died in 1857. He was actively interested in the State Militia, and was for many years a Colonel in the Force.

There is a monument in the North Cemetery, Sturbridge, MA, with Hiram's name on it. It is placed amongst the Corey stones. The name of his wife, Fanny Corey, is recorded on the same monument.

The Vermont Vital Records show the birth of Andrew Jackson Wheelock, son of Oliver Wheelock, born 18 Jan 1826 in Rockingham; implying, perhaps, that the first Andrew Jackson Wheelock died young. The Weymouth, MA vital records report the death of Oliver Wheelock, 10 June 1831, age 60, of "liver complaint". Elizabeth, widow of Oliver, died in Weymouth 26 Mar 1844.
