Abner may have fought in the Revolutionary War. Abner Wheelock, served in Colonel Abijah Stearns' regiment on a march to Williamstown, Aug 1777, roll dated Leominster.
Rockingham, VT, vital records show an Abner and Jonathan Wheelock living there in a time frame consistent with them being the children of Abner Wheelock and Mary Brown, though no proof is yet found. Also, Salmon Wheelock, who filed marriage intention in Leominster, lived in Rockingham, VT in the same time frame, suggesting that he may also be a child in this family. All three joined the Universalist Society in Rockingham on 3 Oct 1795.
