Her gravestone is located in a "lost" cemetery in Mendon, MA, location unknown. Death date is taken from a photograph of the gravestone.

The headstone reads as follows: "Diana, Wife of Simeon Wheelock, Died Jan. 8 (9?), 1862, aged 67 years." There is an inscription, but it is too small to read in the photograph.

Winnie O'Malley and at least one of her sisters, Mary B. O'Malley, moved from Pennsylvania to Clinton, Worcester Co, MA to work in the mills there. Her sister, May B. O'Malley was married to John W. Head there in 1894, identifying her parents as Patrick O'Malley and Mary Gilmore.¹

Mary, and her husband John were again in Clinton in 1895, when their son John, Jr. was born.²

Scranton Newspaper articles imply that Winnie was in Clinton in 1896. One Scranton newspaper article, dated 27 Aug 1896, states that: "Miss Minnie (sic) O'Malley, of Clinton, Mass. is visiting her mother, Mrs. Patrick O'Malley, of Cusick avenue.³

Another Scranton newspaper article, dated 2 Oct 1896, states: "Miss Winnie O'Malley, who has been visiting her mother on Cusick avenue, has returned to her home in Clinton, Mass."⁴

The 1895 Scranton city directory confirms the residence of Mary O'Malley, widow of Patrick, on Cusick avenue.

In 1900, Winnie O'Malley was living in the household of John and Mary B. Head, in Boston, identified as sister-in-law to John.

According to her testimony, Winnie married Oscar Merritt Wheelock in 1909, in Somerville, MA, though original records confirming the marriage have not yet been found.⁵

Shortly after their marriage, Oscar, and later Winnie, fled to Butte, MT.

Winnie returned to Boston after her husbands death, and was there in July 1911 to administer her husbands probate proceedings.⁶

In 1925 she married Patrick H. Moran in California.

She died in 1961, and is buried in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma, San Mateo Co, CA.

Around 1862, Addison and his wife, Ann, moved to Benzie County, MI and were among the first to homestead in Almire Township. During the next few years, Addison acquired a great deal of land in Benzie County. He was the first sheriff of that county and was a school master at Long Lake, Grand Traverse Co., MI. His last known land purchase was in 1882. His whereabouts after that time is not known.
