He died intestate, his estate administered by his widow and Harvey Tilden. A dower share was left to his widow, Lucy D. Blanchard. Payments out of the estate were made to I. N. Blanchard, Aaron D. Blanchard, Lucy Ann Jackson, Recta Hersey, and Byron Blanchard, recorded 8 Sep 1859.¹
