Euphemia Turnbull's birth is recorded in the parish register at Melrose, Rosburgh, Scotland, which is near Lilliesleaf, 23 July 1800, daughter of Walter Turnbull, schoolteacher, and Euphemia Dickson.
The following obituary for Euphemia Turnbull was posted on the Ancestry.Com "Parmenter Surname Message Board", by Bette Kot, 26 Dec 1999.
She died at the home of her son, R. U. Wheelock, at Ogden, on the evening of November 10, 1883, Mrs. Euphemia Wheelock, aged eighty years and six months.
The deceased was born in the village of Lilly's Leaf (sic), Scotland. She came to this country with her parents, at the age of 11 years, who settled near Albany, New York. She was married at the age of 17 and became the mother of nine children, six of whom survive her. She was the youngest of 12 children and the survivor of all the family, her brother, Sir James Turnbull, who last proceeded her, having died in London, England, nine years ago. She was buried in the Boonesboro Cemetery, where others of her kin are buried. She was fully ripe and ready for the Reaper.

Martin Wheelock is enumerated in the 1870 Federal Census living in Leicester, Livingston Co, NY, age 39, with his wife Victoria, ag 32, son Fayette, age 9, son Osmond, age 6, Charles, age 3, and daughter Alice, 1 month old (on 21 July 1870, when the census was taken). The family is enumerated in the 1880 Census, again living in Leicester, with children Fayette C, age 19, Fred A, age 16, Charles D., age 12, and Mary A., age 10. The name of the second son is given as Osmond in most of the census records, but as Fred in the 1880 Census. The 1910 Census shows Martin S. Wheelock living with his son, Osmond F. Wheelock in Leicester.
