The 1850 NY Census shows Harmon Wheelock, age 35, farmer, living in Hamburg, NY, with real estate holdings valued at $2500. The census indicates that he was born in NY. He is living with Amanda Wheelock, age 40, also born in New York. There are two others in his household, probably not children. These are Lucinda Bain[??], age 14, and John Dorst, born in Germany.
The Census info for Harmon is adjacent to that of Silas B. Wheelock, his brother, implying that they lived close together. Also close were the Dorst family; including Julianna Dorst who may have been the Caroline Julianna Dorst who married Harmon's nephew, William H. Wheelock.
He is enumerated in the 1880 Census in Hamburg, age 65, living with his wife, Amanda, age 70.
Persis (Park) Ivett reports that Harmon had no children.
He is buried in Prospect Lawn Cemetery, next to his wife, Amanda ____.
