A William Wheelock is enumerted in the 1820 Census, living in Lyme, Jefferson Co, NY, age between 16 and 26. Since other children of Levi and Waitstill removed to Jefferson Co, NY (e.g. Levi, Jr, Artemas, Hannah), it is possible that the William who lived in Lyme is also the son of Levi and Waitstill. William is also enumerated in the 1830 and 1840 Census, in Lyme; but appears in no further Census records after that date.
