Robert Kelley (Henry, David, Edward), born in Boston in 1714, moved to Charlton where he engaged in farming, and was very active in town affairs. He served in the Revolutionary War as a lieutenant under Captain Benjamin Richardson. He had four children by Ruth Wheelock, and seven by his second wife, Lydia Marrs of Warren, MA.¹

His will was dated 30 May 1783, and proved 1 July 1783, placing his death probably in June 1783. He left bequests to his children Rachel, Joel, Chapin, Abigail, Ruth, Mary, Lydia, Robert, Henry, William, and Abner.²

Peter Wheelock was a private in the Revolutionary War, serving in Capt. Ebenezer Crafts's troop, Col. Learned's regt., which marched 20 Apr 1775 in response to the alarm of 19 April 1775; service 1 week 4 days.¹

Peter was one of the original proprietors of the town of Calais, Vermont; and was the "leading man" of the town during the first ten years of it's history.²
