The ancestry of Daniel is not known for certain. It is speculated that he may be the son of Daniel Wheelock and Beulah Albee of Uxbridge, MA. This Daniel Wheelock, of Uxbridge was presumed to be the son of Daniel Wheelock (1707-1793) and Deborah Darling, of Uxbridge, MA, and Glocester, RI. However, this relationship was rendered implausible by the Wills of Daniel Wheelock, probated 1793, and his son, Daniel Wheelock, Jr. (1744 - 1781), which prove relationships that conflict with the Daniel Wheelock/Beulah Albee relationship.

Walter T. Wheelock, in "The Wheelock Family in America, 1637-1969", privately published in 1969, shows Daniel Wheelock (1744-1781) married to Beulah Albee; but he questions this relationship himself, and provides no support for it. An original record showing a marriage between Daniel Wheelock and Beulah Albee has not been found.

So, the ancestry of Daniel Wheelock (1768-1842) remains a mystery.
