Research Notes:

LeRoy Clemans and Bernice Ruth Wheelock (Madison?) made application for a marriage license on or before 23 Apr 1958 at the Gogebic County clerk, Michigan. Marenisco is in Gogebic County. Other sources cite Monesco (which doesn't exist) as the marriage location, suggesting that Marenisco may be the actual location.¹

LeRoy Clemans obituary was published in the 20 Oct 1895 edition of The South Bend Tribune. It states that he died 19 Oct 1985 in Niles, [Michigan], he was born 1 Oct 1896 in Wabash, Indiana. He married Bernice Wheelock on 3 Sep 1946 in Michigan. She died 6 May 1977. Surviving are a son, James L. of Niles, a stepdaughter, Maxine Quillin of Williston, Florida, three stepsons, Don of South Bend, Francis W. of Deerfield, Mich, and George Wheelock of Elkhart.²
