Zenas was mentioned as the probable grandson of Silas Wheelock (born in Charlton, Ma, son of Edward Wheelock) in a Wheelock Genealogy written by Carlyle C. Wheelock, of Woonsocket, RI. This same genealogy indicated that Zenas lived in Fredonia, NY, thus confirming the information here, that came from Persis (Park) Ivett.
Persis writes "Zenas is buried with his two wives in Fredonia, NY, as per gravestones there. Zenus Elmer and Flora adopted Harry Ruddy of Ilion, NY and is [...indecipherable...] Dr. Harry Wheelock who was a physician in Fredonia. Dr. Harry Wheelock adopted a son, Dana McK. Wheelock who also was a physician in Fredonia, NY, and for whom the elementary school was named."
According to an obituary published in the Dunkirk Observer, Zenas died at 123 Central Avenue, in Dunkirk, NY.
