Nelson Henry Davis, unmarried, graduated from West Point in 1846, served in the Mexican War, was a major of the "regular" battalion at the first battle of Bull Run, commissioned colonel 4 Sep 1861, and appointed assistant inspector-general, United States Army on 12 Nov 1861.

Henry and Adelphia had 13 children, one of whom died in infancy. (Source: "Eleazar Wheelock Genealogy, 1285-1870-1982", Donated to Dartmouth Special Collections Library by Mrs. Ina-May Lewis MacLean, 1982) They are enumerated in the 1860 Census, living in Ogle, Byron Co, IL, with Erastus Wheelock, age 39, and Caroline A Wheelock, age 32. He is enumerated in the 1870 Federal Census in Rockford, IL, age 81, living with Frances Lewis and family. Adelphia does not appear in the listing. Henry Wheelock died in Rockford, IL (Src: Gershom Wheelock Family Bible Records, NEHGS manuscript collection).

In the 1850 Census, Seth, a farmer, and Wealthy lived in the household of Leonard Nason. He is enumerated in the 1860 and 1870 Census living in Milton, Minnesota, occupation farmer. A. P. Rose, wife Susan, and stepsons Charles and George Wheelock, were living at Milton per the 1880 Census. Abraham and Susan were living at Kasson, Minnesota in 1900.
