His will is on file in Genesse County, dated 4 Jan 1864.²

An article published in the 30 Aug 1878 edition of the Batavian Progressive gave notice of a lawsuit relating to the estate of Rice Baldwin, identifying members of this family as defendents: "Parley V. Ingalsbe as executor and trustee under the last will and testament of Rice Baldwin, deceased, against William H. Baldiwn, Milton R. Baldwin, Albert C. Baldwin, Phebe U. Farley, Eunice E. Mckenzie, Elivra J. Weage, Frances C. Hopper, Joanna L. Bliss, and Albert C. Baldwin , as administrator of Adelbert W. Baldwin, deceased, and William H. Baldwin as administrator of Aaron M. Baldwin, deceased."³
