Jonathan, with his seven children, removed to Peterboro, NH, in 1775; and then to Cavendish, VT (Source: "History of the Town of Shrewsbury, 1717 to 1829", by Ward.) Jonathan's will was filed in 1798 at the Windsor District Probate Court, North Springfield, VT, volume 2. In it he mentions his wife, Anna; his son Jonathan Wheelock; daughters Anna Upton, wife of Robert Upton, Zerviha, wife of Jonathan Connick; sons Ebenezer Wheelock, Joseph Drury Wheelock, and John Gleason Wheelock; niece Prudence Brown, wife of John Brown; and grandson Jonathan Wheelock "the boy who now lives with me". His son Jotham, who died in 1831, is not mentioned.
